GOV. NAVA COMMENDS BUENAVISTA PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE FRONTLINERS

Governor JC Rahman A. Nava, MD commended individuals and organizations involved in delivering basic healthcare services in the Municipality of Buenavista for their dedication, achievements and significant contributions in implementing the government’s various health programs. Governor Nava was the guest of honor during the Health Summit conducted by the Municipal Government of Buenavista on December 14, 2024 at the Guimaras State University Agri-Eco Convention Hall in Mclain, Buenavista, Guimaras.

“Congratulations! Indi lango-lango ang magpatigayun sang health programs. Technically, masiling naton nga may gamay nga komplikasyon pero kung gina-ugyunan naton tanan, tinguhaan naton nga magkooperar so, sa sina nga paagi aton mahimo ang siling naton may komplikasyon nga sistema,“ Gov. Nava said.

The governor is pushing for the Guimaras Unified Health Network in preparation for the implementation of the Universal Health Care Law as well as the improvement of Guimaras Health Insurance Program.

The theme for this year’s Health Summit is “Pasidungog: Recognizing Exemplars of Public Health Service”.

National Voluntary Blood Services Program 2024 Accomplishment (As of December 15, 2024)

1st place: Brgy. Navalas

2nd place: Brgy. Umilig

3rd place: Brgy. San Miguel

4th place: Brgy. Nazaret

5th place: Brgy. San Isidro

Most improved Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) and sanitation:

1st place: Brgy. San Isidro

2nd place: Brgy. Tacay

3rd place: Brgy. Navalas

4th place: Brgy. San Roque

5th place: Brgy. San Fernando

Most improved nutrition status of young children aged 0-59 months under the Municipal Nutrition Program:

1st place: Brgy. San Isidro

2nd place: Brgy. San Fernando

3rd place: Brgy. East Valencia

Also, 45 active and five retired barangay health workers were honoured during the event.
