GOV. NAVA LEADS DISTRIBUTION OF FINANCIAL AID TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NUEVA VALENCIA
Governor JC Rahman A. Nava, MD spearheaded the distribution of educational assistance worth Php 2,000 each for 1,425 Senior High School students in the Municipality of Nueva Valencia, Guimaras on November 7, 2024.
Together with Guimaras lone district Congresswoman Ma. Lucille Nava, MD, the governor facilitated the early release of financial aid for students. The early release of funds was made possible with the resources coming from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and House of Representative Speaker Congressman Martin Romualdez.
“Nagapasalamat gid kami sa mga opisyales diri sa banwa sang Nueva Valencia nga ginapangunahan ni Mayor Paul De La Cruz kag Vice Mayor Gambalan. Indi man ini matigayun dali-dali kung indi tungod sa ila. Masami ni ginahatag sa tunga-tunga nga tuig sang school year. Ugaling may mga bagay siguro nga kinahanglanon hingagawon gid,” Gov. Nava said.
The governor anticipated the ban on release of public funds due to the forthcoming national and local election in May 2025.
“Gusto gid naton nga siguraduhon ang aton kabataan makalab-ot gid Senior High kag makatapos gid sang Senior High. So, subong ginakalipay gid naton upod kay Congresswoman Ma. Lucille Nava nga nagadamo nga nagadamo ang estudyante sa aton eskwelahan, madamo ang kabataan nga naga-eskwela kumparar sang una,” Gov. Nava added.
Education is one of the priority programs of the governor in line with his administration’s development agenda Kabataan FIRST. The governor and Congresswoman Lucille Nava are now eyeing the release of financial aid to college students in December.
The governor also thanked parents of Senior High School students for their cooperation with the Provincial Government’s programs, projects and activities.
