GUIMARAS HONORS OUTSTANDING PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

The Provincial Government of Guimaras (PGG) celebrated the exemplary dedication, hard work, and contributions of its employees during the annual Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PAHO) Awards, held on December 12, 2024 at Guimaras Mountain Resort, Daragan, Buenavista.

A total of 102 employees and two offices of the Provincial Government received Loyalty Award, Career and Self-Development Award, Gantimpala Agad Award, and Special Award categories. In addition, 17 employees who have retired in service this year were presented with Service Award and four of them were given their “pabaon”.

OIC Governor John Edward G. Gando, OIC Vice Governor Cecile Gumarin and SP Member Aurelio Tionado handed the awards to the deserving employees.

Twelve employees who have served the institution for 30 years, 43 employees who are working in the Provincial Government for 20 years, and eight employees who are with the PGG for 10 years, qualified for the Loyalty Award and received a PAHO trophy.

Thirteen (13) permanent and nine job hire employees were conferred with the Career and Self Development Award. The awardees received a certificate and Php 2,000 cash.

A Special Award was given to the Provincial Planning and Development Office in recognition of their valuable contribution in achieving the distinction of Best Provincial Statistics Committee in the region and for Guimaras as Best LGU advocate for Statistics, during the 35th National Statistics Month celebration. The same recognition was given to the Provincial Health Office for achieving the distinction of Top-Performing LGU in the TB Indicator: Treatment Success Rate C.Y. 2023, 100% of the Organizational Level Key Result Areas on Service Delivery 1 (Referral System) of Universal Health Care Local Health Systems Maturity Levels, and Good Practice in Health 2024 for better health outcomes and stronger local health systems.

The PAHO Awards serve as a platform to recognize the outstanding performance and achievements of provincial employees, whose efforts significantly contributed to the delivery of quality public service and the realization of the province’s goals for sustainable development and inclusive governance.
