HANDOG NG PANGULO SERVICES BENEFIT THOUSANDS IN GUIMARAS

Around 3,500 Guimarasnons have benefited from the financial aid and services offered by different government agencies in partnership with the Provincial Government of Guimaras during the 67th birthday celebration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. dubbed as “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” on September 13, 2024 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.

Different government agencies such as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) participated in the event.

Philippine Space Agency Director General Joel Marciano Jr., representing President Marcos, served as the guest of honor.

Governor JC Rahman A. Nava, MD expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Marcos for the assistance provided to the people of Guimaras. He said that the province has received numerous aid under the president’s Bagong Pilipinas program.

“Dako gid ang pagpasalamat naton sa aton presidente, President Bongbong Marcos, sa pagpatigayon sining “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat. So, madamo ang aton mga benepisyo nga naaguman diri sa probinsiya sang Guimaras under sa Bagong Pilipinas nga programa sang aton presidente. Kadamo ang mga programa nga nabaton sang aton probinsiya nga amon ginapatigayon nga maglab-ot sa aton mga pumuluyo kag ini siguro makasiling kita ‘salamat Presidente Bongbong Marcos Jr. sa pagpatigayon sini tanan’,” Gov. Nava said.

The Department of Labor and Employment conducted payout for 847 beneficiaries under its Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program. The payout was done simultaneously at the Provincial Capitol Grounds and Buenavista Gymnasium. An additional 758 TUPAD beneficiaries have attended an orientation about the program on the same day. Under its DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), the agency released Php 4.5 million as start-up capital for business to 150 recipients.

DOLE’s job fair brought 1,406 vacancies for job seekers in the province.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,000 beneficiaries received Php 5,000.00 each under the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) of DSWD.

Another 609 beneficiaries availed of financial assistance for medical needs from the Provincial Government of Guimaras.

The Department of Trade and Industry released financial loans to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under small business corporation and financial assistance for MSMEs who have participated in the National Food Fair held in Manila.

DA distributed agricultural machineries such as tractor and threshing machine, to farmer beneficiaries and gave out seeds of high value crops.

Further, 67 students who are taking special training employment program were given starter tool kits by the Technical Education Skills Development Authority.

Heavy rains did not dampen the spirit of the officials of the Provincial Government and the beneficiaries.

Congresswoman Ma. Lucille L. Nava, MD said that this initiative is in line with the goal of President Marcos to extend government services to everyone.

“Ginakalipay gid naton… malaw-ay matuod ang panahon pero maayo ang nadangtan sang Guimarasnon kay ang bugay subong nga adlaw magaabot sa aton in line sa pagselebrar sang birthday sang aton pinalangga nga president,” Cong. Nava said. “Ginapanindugan nila sa administrasyon ang Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat. Ang punto sini nga gusto ipalab-ot sang gobyerno sa mga pumuluyo ang tanan nga serbisyo sang aton gobyerno and this has been their goal halin pagsugod sang sini nga administrasyon nga tanan nga sector malab-ot sang ayuda.

“Vice Governor John Edward Gando said that the activity is a manifestation of the trust and support of President Marcos to officials of the Provincial Government headed by Governor Nava.

“Halin sa linibo nga job opportunities sa job fair padulong sa mga bulig sa palangabuhian paagi sa TUPAD kag iban pa, ang amon hugot nga pagpasalamat. Ini nagapakita lamang sang padayon nga pagsalig kag suporta sang national government sa liderato sang kapitolyo probinsiyal nga ginpangunahan sang aton maukod nga gobernador, Governor JC Rahman Nava,” he said.

Governor Nava also announced additional assistance to the Province of Guimaras from the national government which include Php 60 million under TUPAD of DOLE, Php 60 million for medical assistance for indigent patients, Php 50 million under AKAP of DSWD, and Php 20 million educational assistance for students.

“Kabay nga ang aton pumuluyo padayon ang inyo kooperasyon sa aton lokal nga gobyerno para mahapos kita magpatigayon sang mga programa nga nagkalain-lain gikan sa gobyerno national naton diri sa pungsod Pilipinas. Ginalauman namon nga sa padayon naton nga pag-inupdanay, sa aton pagkooperar sa tagsa-tagsa, madamo pa gid nga tikang ang aton mahimo para matigayon naton ang masanag nga bwas damlag para sa kada pamilya diri sa probinsiya sang Guimaras,” Gov. Nava said.
