Western Visayas records 4 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 97 as of May 11, 2020. Three of the new cases are from Iloilo City and one from Negros Occidental. Ten have died from the disease while 38 patients have recovered.

The Province of Guimaras has one suspected COVID-19 case waiting for the result of the laboratory test.

Five repatriated OFWs are likewise waiting for the result of their laboratory test. Of the 15 Guimarasnon OFWs repatriated, two have tested positive of COVID-19 and currently quarantined at Western Visayas Sanitarium in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo while eight have tested negative.

COVID-19 cases in the country exceed 11,000 as the Department of Health reports 292 new cases on May 11, 2020 bringing the total number of cases in the Philippines to 11,086. The death toll now stands at 726 while 1,999 patients have recovered.

The United States of America has the highest number of cases (1,245,775) and mortalities (75,364) among the countries affected by the pandemic.

Western Visayas records one new case of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases in the region to 93 as of May 10, 2020. The new patient is a 39-year old female from Arevalo, Iloilo City. The death toll now stands at 10 while 38 patients have recovered.

The Province of Guimaras has one suspected COVID-19 case waiting for the result of the laboratory test. Of the 15 Guimarasnon OFWs repatriated, two have tested positive of COVID-19 and currently quarantined at Western Visayas Sanitarium in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo while eight have tested negative where five have completed home quarantine and three are under quarantine at a hotel in Iloilo City. Five repatriated OFWs are waiting for the result of their laboratory test.

TThe Department of Health reports 184 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases in the Philippines to 10,794 as of May 10, 2020. There are now 1,924 recoveries while 719 patients have died.

Of the 20 suspected COVID-19 cases in the Province of Guimaras 18 have tested negative, two with mild symptoms were not tested and have completed strict home quarantine.

The Department of Health reports 147 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases nationwide to 10,610 as of May 9, 2020. Of the new cases, 123 were recorded at the National Capital Region. Region 7 has not recorded new case of COVID-19 today. The number of recovered patients rose to 1,842 while 704 have died.

The number of COVID-19 cases globally reaches 3,759,967 while the death tolls now stands at 259,474 as of May 9, 2020. European Region has the highest number of cases and deaths followed by the Americas.
