Guimaras opens Tacay wharf for construction materials

The Province of Guimaras has opened another port of entry to hasten the delivery of construction materials needed for various infrastructure programs in the island.

The Province of Guimaras has no suspected COVID-19 case as to date.

Of the 20 suspected cases, 18 have tested negative while two with mild symptoms were not tested and completed strict home quarantine.

Two Guimarasnon overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who arrived last April 29, 2020 tested positive of COVID-19 and currently quarantined at Western Visayas Sanitarium at Sta. Barbara, Iloilo while 3 have tested negative of the disease.


Three repatriated Guimarasnon OFWs who arrived last April 29, 2020 tested negative of COVID-19.

The three OFWs are residents of the Municipality of Nueva Valencia and currently quarantined at a hotel in Iloilo City.

Two of the five overseas Filipino workers who arrived in Iloilo City last April 29, 2020 have tested positive of COVID-19. One is from the Municipality of Buenavista and the other is from the Municipality of Nueva Valencia.

Both patients are currently under facility quarantine at Iloilo.
