PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT TO EQUIP LEARNERS WITH SMART TV SETS

The Provincial Government of Guimaras has announced its initiative to procure Smart TV sets for schools across the province as part of its commitment to enhancing educational delivery and bridging the digital divide for learners.

During the Provincial School Board (PSB) meeting on December 16, 2024 at the Congressional Hall, San Miguel, Jordan, Governor JC Rahman A. Nava, MD emphasized the importance of adopting innovative approaches to address the challenges faced by students and teachers in the ever-evolving educational landscape.

The PSB approved the procurement of 98 Smart TV sets that will be distributed to Grade 3 learners across the province.

The Smart TV sets will be strategically distributed to public schools and learning hubs identified by the Provincial School Board in partnership with the Department of Education-Guimaras.

The devices will support blended learning approach in Grade 3 classes by enabling access to multimedia learning materials, online resources, and virtual instruction sessions, making lessons more engaging and accessible for students.

The initiative is a response to the increasing need for digital learning tools as schools integrate hybrid and blended learning modalities.

Through this procurement, the Provincial Government of Guimaras aims to empower teachers to deliver interactive lessons and equip students with 21st-century skills which is one of the priorities of Governor Nava’s administration under his Kabataan FIRST agenda.
