The Province of Guimaras commends four empowered women from the provincial government for being active stewards of volunteerism

As per Memorandum Order No. 92 Series of 2020, the following personnel have been nominated and assessed to be Volunteerism Awardees for the first time under the Volunteer Program in the Public Sector.
Distribution of assistance to the 341 crews of Jordan Motorbanca Cooperative (JMBC) was done at the Jordan Municipal Gym in Poblacion, Jordan, Guimaras while the 333 crews of Buenavista Motorbanca Owners and Sailors Association (BAMOSA) received the relief packages at the distribution activity conducted at Buenavista Public Market in Mclain, Buenavista, Guimaras.

Governor Samuel T. Gumarin has given the said awardees Certificates of Commendation recognizing their outstanding extension services and sharing their invaluable efforts as volunteers in different projects and activities under personal capacity and in collaboration with the civil society and/or private organizations.
Gumarin further recognized the said efforts to be contributory to the development of the identified beneficiaries and marginalized sectors where volunteer efforts are focused.
Further, being tasked as the Volunteer Focal Person, Mr. Jaypee Kein G. Entredicho, Executive Assistant IV, said that the program, being novel to the provincial government as exemplified by the first ever issuance of a memorandum, sustainability is eyed for program functionality and at present, internal arrangements and policies are being put in place to rekindle volunteerism in the agency.
He underscored that lobbying for the program to work is being championed to seek logistical and financial commitments as well.
He said that the aforementioned personnel have been endorsed to the Provincial Human Resource Management Office and PRAISE Committee to be considered under the Rewards and Recognition Program 2021.
