PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT TURNS OVER ASSISTANCE UNDER KABATAAN FIRST PROGRAM TO 31 BARANGAYS

The Provincial Government has taken another significant step in youth empowerment by turning over assistance to 31 barangays across the province.

The turnover ceremony for the first tranche of the beneficiaries was held on November 19, 2024 at the Congressional Hall, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras and was spearheaded by Governor JC Rahman A. Nava MD and Congresswoman Ma. Lucille L. Nava MD and attended by the barangay officials.

JORDAN COLLEGE STUDENTS GET 5K CASH AID

A total of 1,557 college students from the Municipality of Jordan received Php 5,000 educational assistance from the Provincial Government of Guimaras headed by Governor JC Rahman A. Nava, MD; Congresswoman Ma. Lucille L. Nava, MD; and Vice Governor Atty. John Edward Gando.

“Ginakalipay ko gid permi kun amo ni kadamo ang estudyante nga naga-receive sang educational assistance. Panawagan namon halin sang una ni Gov. Rahman nga magtu-on kamo, mag-eskwela, mag-alam, mangin bugal sang inyo ginikanan, labi na gid mangin bugal sang aton probinsya,” Congresswoman Nava said.

GOV. NAVA JOINS 2024 BUENAVISTA MUNICIPAL CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

Governor JC Rahman A. Nava MD joined the Municipality of Buenavista in celebrating its 2024 Municipal Children’s Day as guest speaker in the culminating activity held at the Buenavista Covered Gym on November 8, 2024.

“I still remember in 1999 when we first initiated the child-friendly program here in Guimaras. Kag daw kanami lang tan-awon nga, from that program, from that movement, today our program for our children is now very well-established and institutionalized,” Gov. Nava said.

GOV. NAVA LEADS DISTRIBUTION OF FINANCIAL AID TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NUEVA VALENCIA

Governor JC Rahman A. Nava, MD spearheaded the distribution of educational assistance worth Php 2,000 each for 1,425 Senior High School students in the Municipality of Nueva Valencia, Guimaras on November 7, 2024.

Together with Guimaras lone district Congresswoman Ma. Lucille Nava, MD, the governor facilitated the early release of financial aid for students. The early release of funds was made possible with the resources coming from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and House of Representative Speaker Congressman Martin Romualdez.
