Read More...The Provincial Government of Guimaras has lifted the temporary ban on the entry of live pigs, pork, pork products and by-products in the province. Governor JC Rahman A. Nava MD issued Executive Order No. 86 dated December 2, 2024 lifting the temporary ban which was imposed in October 2022 due to African Swine Fever (ASF). The governor underscored that Western Visayas is on the road to recovery as far as ASF is concerned.
Although the ban was lifted, Gov. Nava emphasized that the movement of swine, pork and pork products and by-products in the Province of Guimaras is still subject to compliance with regulatory requirements.
